 Norman & Jennifer - Family Background |
Our family currently consists of Norman, Jennifer, our sons Jeremy and Zachary, and our dog Gypsy. Norm and Jennifer met in 1993 while Jennifer was in college. Norm cleaned the carpets in the condo where she lived, and she kept him company while he worked. He got her phone number off her check and later called to ask her out. We had a great time and were married 8 months later.
Jeremy joined our family through adoption when he was 2 days old. We had been married for 8 years and were thrilled to finally be given the opportunity to be parents. Needless to say, it has been the best experience of our lives. We have loved being able to correspond with his birthmom and share his special moments with her. We began writing to her weekly and still write 2-3 times each year. She has loved the letters and pictures, and we are very grateful to be able to keep in touch with her.
For Jeremy's third birthday, Gypsy joined our family. Jeremy has loved dogs his entire life, so we were excited to be able to get such a wonderful companion for him. We went to pick her out of the litter when she was 5-6 weeks old and Jeremy loved seeing all the puppies. For the next couple of weeks we got things ready and talked a lot about bringing the puppy home. Jeremy was very excited and could hardly believe it when we picked her up and brought her home.
Our newest family member is Zachary. We were able to meet him when he was 5 days old, and bring him home from the hospital when he was 10 days old. He is a very pleasant little guy, and Jeremy has absolutely loved having a little brother.
We have always wanted a large family and are looking forward to meeting the rest of our future children and watching them build those special friendships that can exist between brothers and sisters.

I am the 3rd in a family of eight children. My parents had seven boys and one girl. All but one are married and my parents have 16 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Most of us live in the same area, and get together on a regular basis. I appreciate being able to count on my siblings to help me with projects or problems, and like having them nearby. We were all taught to work hard and try our very best to excel at what we do.

I come from a family of 5 kids, where I am the oldest. I have three sisters and one brother. We all grew up in Alaska, where my parents still live. We had lots of cousins, who we saw every few years when our family vacations included traveling to the "lower 48." So far, our kids are the only grandchildren in my family, and their aunts, uncles and grandparents love every chance they get to see them. My parents usually come to visit us at least once a year, which I am very grateful for.
